Wellbeing Connector Program

Supporting healthy ageing through connection and care.

Since July 2024, Springwood Neighbourhood Centre is proudly delivering the Wellbeing Connector program across the Blue Mountains. This free initiative supports older people (65+, or 55+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities), helping them stay socially connected, active, and engaged in their local neighbourhoods.

We focus on building meaningful relationships, sharing ideas, and encouraging participation in social and physical activities that enhance overall wellbeing. Whether it's joining a walking group, attending a local event, or simply having a chat — we’re here to help seniors rediscover joy and purpose in everyday life.

The program is based on the five pillars of healthy ageing:

🧠 Cognitive function

💪 Physical health & capability

💬 Social wellbeing

😊 Psychological wellbeing

Nurturing all five areas aims to improve quality of life, boost resilience & help delay physical decline, so older adults can live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
